Kitty fitness....

Hi, everyone! Today I want to ask each and ever one of you a Question: You guys know my Ragdoll cat Nico right? Well,Back in June of this year when I took him to the vet, because he had a UTI ( Urinary track infection).Anyway the vet said he was fat and needs to lose weight.I do not believe her though because Nico is only 14 Pounds! He was also at the time only 4 years old! But now he is 5 years old.He is also a Ragdoll cat.Which is a very big breed of cat! Males Typically weigh 18 or 20 pounds.Females only weigh about 12 or 14 pounds.(Anya my female Ragdoll, weighs 13 pounds).I only feed Nico one cup of food a day (Measured). As it says so on the back of the cat food bag.And Nico was on Weight Control food (for cats),and he did lose a lot of weight. He use to be almost 15 pounds! But thankfully he didn't get that big.Now he is only 14 pounds (like I said). He is pretty Close to only 13 pounds (like Anya). Here are some pictures of him:
And remember he is also a very fluffy cat.
Here he is laying down on my lap.
Here he is after he lost a lot of weight.
Here is such a handsome boy!
Okay he was a little fat in that picture lol
Here is Nico&Anya playing together:Nico is the one standing up and Anya is the one laying down. Please be Honest when you think if he is or isn't fat! I will really Appreciate your answers and comments! Thanks!

  1. All of us weigh different amounts. I think it can hard to know what's best.

  5. Nico is very beautiful! It is not for thin, maybe a bit overweight, my cat is fatter than him for sure.

  6. Nico looks good to us. Can you feel his ribs? If so, he's probably an okay weight.

  7. He doesn't look fat. We do not know what is normal for Ragdolls, except for what you told us. A lot of it does seem to be fur. We always believe it is best to go with what our VET tells Mommy. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
