Maybe I'm Not Cut Out For Blogging?

Hi,

I've recently been reading online "How Often Should You Blog", and I'm really confused at how offen I should. Blogging everyday isn't really working for me and if I don't have something to write about, I feel that I shouldn't even be blogging. I've also been considering blogging just once a week, and that would probably be just Saturdays, but I really don't know what to do--I need help.
So tell me what you would like me to do, after all the writer is the one that's suppose to be entertaining his or her readers. Also I've kinda been drifting away from my blog's main subject--Ragdoll cats. I guess this blog really isn't a blog, but more of just what's going on in my life--a diary, even maybe.
I didn't blog yesterday for that specific reason; I had nothing good to write about.
So that begs the question: how often do YOU think I should blog?

NOTE: this post is NOT about if I should continue blogging or not.

  1. The fact that you started a blog in the first place means that you are meant for it. Also, this is your little place and no one should tell you what to do with it. It doesn't really matter if you post once a month or twice a day. If people like you, they will continue to read your blog, no matter what. I'm trying the A to Z challenge this month where I have to post every day, and honestly, it's too much for me too. I don't even find the time to comment anymore. I do hope you continue blogging though ;-)

    1. Thanks, yeah I just started doing my off and on "posts" for the week, and I guess I kinda like skipping a few days in a row;-)

  2. How often you blog is totally up to you :-) For me, blogging is for fun and not obligation, so I think we can write whenever we want to! And blog grows as we grow, so I think it's totally okay if you drift away from your main subject. I always enjoy coming here :-)

  3. Blog when you want to. and only when you want to... that way it will continue to be fun and you will continue to do it.

"experts" say you should blog on a schedule.. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.. but really what do they know..

    1. Omg its like you totally read my mind; in fact I did get that info about how bloggers should only post once a week as its easier on their readers/subscribers, but like you said--what do they know...

  5. I think you should blog as often as YOU WANT to blog.

I blog twice a week, every week. No more. No less. Except in very unusual circumstances, I always blog on the same two days a week. I used to aim for about the same time on those days, too, but... well... ever since the clocks sprung forward, my posts have been goin' up about an hour late. MOUSES!

  6. We think you should blog when you feel like it. You probably won't enjoy blogging If you do it because you feel pressure to do so, or to fit a certain mold of what someone else says a blogger SHOULD be. We try to blog two or three times per week, but if we don't, we don't worry about it too much.

Just remember to have fun with it, okay? :)

  7. We don't blog every day sometimes. Sometimes we do. But if you HAVE to do it, it is not fun. This should be fun, interesting, educational, exciting, whatever YOU want it to be. We are just happy you share what you want to share!
    And don't worry!!!!

  8. Hey sweetie, you should write whenever you want to. We try to blog every day but sometimes we just don't know what to write about either! And sometimes our secretary (aka the human) just doesn't have time to help us run our blog. And always remember... no matter how often you post, people (or kitties) who really love you will ALWAYS follow your blog. :-) A happy Easter to you! Hope you have a wonderful time! xoxo Roxy & Tigerlino

  9. We think you should blog when YOU want to. Blogging should be fun and enjoyable and not a chore. We don't blog everyday...but we do blog on average 4 times a week. We tried blogging everyday at first, but it burned the mom out...and we ran out of things to say. So you do whatever you want to do...we'll be here to read when you do. :)

  10. I think you should do whatever is best for you. I only shoot for 3 days per week (and I have two blogs so it is REALLY exhausting). I commit to myself for 3 days.....if I feel like putting something up the other days, fine, if not, that's fine too. There is no rule.......it's your choice.

  12. A blog IS a diary. An online diary. You don’t have to blog everyday. I don’t and we still get writers cramp. Hoppy Easter.

  13. We thought we had blog almost everyday too! But it tires our human out big time. We blog when we please and when the human has time to help us. No need to blog every day, just when you want :)

  14. I often feel the same. I cannot blog everyday mainly because it wouldn't be very interesting. How often can you write, "I got up and had some coffee. I have laundry to do and then I have to go to the bank..." I can't do it everyday, (At least not like I used to) I really won't have anything interesting to say. That's how I feel. Don't worry about it. Write when you have something to write about. You've got a good size audience. I haven't received 20 comments since the days of Spaces.
