A Cure For The Broken Heart....

Renato died in my arms at the vet's office yesterday afternoon, around 3 'o clock. I had him euthanized. He had HCM; like Nico. I took Anya with me for PKS (personal kitty support). Renato will be privately cremated (like Nico was). Renato needed feline CPR and chest compassions from me, as he went unconscious for 5+ minutes with very little heart beat. HCM is a genetic disease in Ragdoll cats and Maine Coons, no wonder Renato's breeder never texted me back when I asked if his mother had been tested for HCM, she said his father was and N/N. But nothing about the mother...

Renato, dead in my arms with an IV needle in his right front leg. I encourage you to NEVER buy from this terrible cattery called, Righteous Ragdolls. She sells unaccepted and unrecognized variants of the Ragdoll breed; Mink, Sepia, Solid. Those colors are not allowed in any cat association, nor can you show them. Because they are outcrossed to Ragamuffins, which is a different breed than the Ragdoll. Keep in mind that all Ragdolls have blue eyes and a colorpoint coat!!! If your "Ragdoll" doesn't have any eye color but blue and without a colorpoint coat than it is NOT a Ragdoll!! Oh and by the way, her Ragdolls and Ragdoll variants have HCM and if you're not careful, your cat could be dead like my 4 month old, Renato.

Stay away from these Ragdoll breeders that also sell the variants, for a complete list of them, leave your email address, I will be glad to let you know about these cat killers.

  1. I am so very sorry that you had to help Renato to the Rainbow Bridge so early. I know how much it hurts to lose a young cat. I send lots of hugs and my kitties send comforting purrs. I wish there were some way of weeding out the irresponsible breeders to prevent this tragedy.

  4. My heart goes out to you. It doesn't seem fair, does it? Irresponsible breeders are truly a menace!
I love that you held him in your arms when he went to the Bridge. That is what I did with brandi and it was such a comfort later to me that I surrounded her with love when she flew off to the Bridge. It was a beautiful way for her to go.

  13. Typing thru my ears having read this post! Ragdoll Mom you have suffered so much with Nico & Renato...I hope there is a Better Business Bureau or a Humane Society that you can report this cattery to. The silence proves the guilt to me!! I am so sad for you even tho I do not know you.
My Nylablue was used as a breeding Queen & has been sick on & off for the 8+ years I've had her. She was in a puppy mill...
My cat before her Mingflower was the result of puppy mill breeding & I was able to have the Pet store shut down where she was bought from.
Between puppy/kitten mills & unscurpulous breeders we have to be so careful & it seems there are no guarantees....
Please accept our deepest sympathy for your losses. You are one strong & brave woman!!!
    Sincerely, Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue
