Things Wouldn't Be The Same Without You, Only True Stories Have HappyEndings....

Hi,

Since I'm not a fan of Mondays, I thought that (since I have nothing else to write about) I would write about how we almost lost Saphira in 2011. Yeah, you read that right. She hadn't shown up for days, (she and Star were outside cats back then) as most of you are aware, we didn't have Nico and Anya back then either.  Anyways, Saphira had not showed up for days, we had looked around the whole neighborhood for her and with no luck. We had thought at first: "well, she's just a cat, and that's what cats do--go where they please, she'll return home soon enough". Well, Saphira never did return. Those days had turned into weeks, we had started to get worried. We had put up "lost cat" posters but with no luck, then one day someone had called saying they might have our cat, but the cat turned out to be a boy and with all black fur. How do you confuses a black and white female cat for a whole black male cat; I have no idea, but it was very nice of them to try and help. Those weeks had turned into months, now I was almost certain that she had been ran over and killed, even though she was 5 years old back then (now 7, almost 8), I thought she might of died of old age, since outdoor cats live shorter years than indoor cats on average. But in November of 2011, we had started looking for a new cat online at our local animal shelter for a replacement for Saphira--but you know what's better than a replacement for my Crazy Ass Crack Addict? SAPHIRA herself!!! Luckily, the shelter had a black and white female cat that looked almost identical to Saphira, thinking Saphira was dead, we didn't really want another cat that looked like Saphira, but we had tiny hopes about that cat being Saphira. Our luck came true when we saw this:
Yep, that's  my Crazy Ass Crack Addict right there. I just couldn't believe my eyes. The shelter wanted $754 dollars for her! Mind you, Saphira is not any breed of cat--she is just a mixed bred, a mutt. They had given her shots, and microchipped her. They had also thought she was about 2 years old! She was 5!! Thankfully a friend had came in to buy Saphira for $15 dollars and hand her back to us.
Now you should understand why I will NEVER have my cats outside without supervision.

Come back to read tomorrow's post at 6:00 AM Central time for an awesome announcement! See ya' then!

And they all lived happily ever after,

PhotoHunters: Skies

Today's PhotoHunt is "Skies". The country skies just NEVER get old. Too bad we had to move to Tallahasese in May, but I guess that's okay since we're trying to save up to move to Maine. Might take a few years though.

Fun on Friday: Saphira goes to North Caroline

Hi!

Last weekend, we went on a very exciting trip to North Carolina.....and... AND....I got to take Saphira with us!! How cool is that?! That was roughly 506 miles from our home in Florida! Technically 1,012 miles to North Caroline and back to Florida, and get this--she didn't even cry once! Those miles were just a guess, it might of been more or less.
Saphira sits on a bench outside North Caroline's visitor's center.
She looked a bit  agitated because there was a mom and kids that walked by us.
Saphira says: "come on mom, let's get otta here!".
Saphira and I at the visitor's center on Sunday.

We had went up to North Caroline, because we had to trade in our 2004 silver Honda pilot for a 2008 white Ford 150. Well, it wasn't "new" but it sure does look like it, I believe we're the 2rd owners of it. We're smart enough to know not to buy new cars. Anyways, Saphira loved riding in it. We had went up to NC (North Caroline) on Sunday and left Monday.
We had went to a stunning park up there on Sunday. I forgot the name of it though, but it had a pretty water fall and a lot of nice trees and some cool rocks, and a few beautiful rivers? I guess you could call them, that we got to swim in. Unfortunately, it wasn't much colder up there than it was in Florida, but after our walk it had started to rain some, which felt nice. The water in the rivers was so cold, I was kind of dragged into it and was begged to swim, I got use to the water by being splashed, which I didn't take kindly, so I give them a picece of my mind--the middle finger. But really, it was all fun and games, (until someone freezes their and I quote "personal items" ). So I wasn't that mad. Come to think of it, if I hadn't gotten in, I definitely would have regretted it later. I was the one that actually got in again the second time we had stopped by a river, no one else would join me though, lol. The water left an amazing feeling of pure cold after we had gotten out. Then when it was time to go home, well to our temporary home, aka the hotel, we had gotten a bit lost in the mountains... Told them they went the wrong way. Since we had Saphira with us it would of been $250 or so for her to stay in the room and $50 if we got caught with her in there without permission, well let's break the law a bit, after all you only live once. So we had taken her in the room with us without their permission. Ha! Did we get caught? Nope! Suckers!
So we had dropped Saphira off in the room, along with our luggage and since the hotel had a pool, (an INDOOR pool) and a jacuzzi (also indoors) we had put on our swim suits and went for a swim at 10PM and left at pool-hours, which was 11PM, best part was was that there was no one else there! Then we went back to the room and 2 of us took showers, ( I was one of them) and the other 2 didn't, personally I find that nasty, but opinions differ. Then we went to bed, work up the next morning and to my dismay, I had only just realized that I had no shorts to wear; because we had gone swimming on Sunday in our clothes, not our swim suites. I had only brought 1 pair of shorts, because we were only staying in North Caroline for 1 day. So I had my only pair of shorts dried in the dryer and when those were done, I got dressed. Since I was still in my night time clothes, I had stayed in the room while the other 3 went to breakfast in the lobby, Saphira and I stayed in the room until they returned. When they came back, I had to unlock the door and Saphira must of thought that someone was breaking in, as she had started hissing and growling and scratching at the door. What a cool cat.

On the way home after we had traded in our Honda pilot for the truck, we had stopped at a store called Cabela's (might of misspelt that). But pets are allowed there as long as they're being held or in the cart only, so I had taken Saphira with us instead of leaving her in the hot car, I did hang onto her, but I had put her in the cart for like 7 seconds and then took her out.
Saphira in the cart at Cabela's. She looked a bit alarmed because an old lady and her husband had walked by us to compliment Saphira. Everyone there loved her!
Even though pets aren't allowed on the floor/products, I had put Saphira in a tent on display!! LOL, she loved it. What? No one was looking....
Miss Pretty Green Eyes at the park.
Saphira at the park up in the mountains of North Caroline. Oh, that reminds me; we had saw some female deers at the park, and Saphira was like wtf are those?!?! Lol.

The end,

Wordless Wednesday: Only with Anya

....is it appropriate to dress like this when you're 37 (37 in cat years). But then again, Anya is kind of promiscuous.... ;-)

Review Day

Hi,

A while ago, I was sent a beautiful harness and a beautiful matching leash set for Anya from Collarplanet.com Collarplanet carriers some products from my favorite pet company: Mirage, which is where this leash came from, well I mean is made from. Last weekend I was visiting my father in Tallahasses for Father's Day, and he said I could bring Saphira, well on Saturday we had went to a park there called Tom Brown Park, and I tagged along Saphira with us and she had worn this leash I am reviewing today, everyone there said the leash was awesome and so is my cat! How nice is that?! :-)
This leash is made with fake leather, and 8 real beautiful crystals embedded in it. While this leash is stunning, it isn't all that flexible. :-/ I liked the harness a bet better than the leash, but both are stunning. This leash is about $17 dollars if I'm not correct. The harness on the other hand was $24 dollars.
The snap had held onto the harness quite nicely.
The four crystals. Sorry for such poor quality photos; not only was Nico shaking the bed, but also it was kind of cloudy out. So my apologizes.

I'm sorry to say that I don't have any photos of one of the cats with this leash on.

Pros:

* Fast shipping
*Great customer service
*Cats looked awesome in it!
*Real crystals in it
*Lots of cool colors and styles to choose from
*STUNNING!

I know this had nothing to do with the review of this leash, but when I had received the harness it was too small (size 10) and the shop owner had exchanged the harness for a bigger size (size 14) free of charge. Which was very nice of her and I had greatly appreciated it.

Cons:

*Not very flexible
* A bit on the pricer side

Ragdoll Mommy~

A Question More Than Worth Asking: Were Men and Woman Created Equally or No?

Did mother-nature really create men and women equally? I think not, but you should decide for yourselves in this very post. Enjoy!

Note: this is just a joke, and isn't meant to offended either sex.

Now, let's start with women in 7 words:

#1: Just plan evil
#2: And hurtful.
#3: And sneaky.
#4: Just  fashionable.
#5: Just plan awkward?
#6: Carefree.
#7: Naughty!
Women are basically the same thing as cats; both are greedy, are pretty much unwilling to do anything for someone else, unless there's something in it for them too, rarely if ever come when called, are sneaky. I applie to all of those. ;-) I ain't lyin' about that one....

Men in 7 words:

#1: Confussed.
#2: And I qoute "special".
#3: Helpless.
#4: Ridiculous.
#5: Curious.
#6: Greedy. And by that, I mean a lot.
#7: Just flat out selfish.

Just kidding! Everyone is selfish.

Note: all pictures of cats outside were only there for taking pictures!

Saphira "Falls" 14 Feet Unharmed

Last week on Friday night at our new apartment, Saphira had jumped up on the ledge above the stair case and jumped off of it and it was  roughly 14 feet down! Was she hurt? No. I thought she had broken a leg, or her spine, or at least a paw, but amazingly enough she was left unharmed. And that's coming from a 7 year and 11 month old cat!

Saphira is an amazing ol' girl!

Who Has The Upper Hand Now? Revenge is Best Served Cold....

Disclaimer: may contain what some may call "vulgar" language. If you disprove of any of this, then I highly recommend that you leave and come back tomorrow or something, when I'm not angry. This is a warning and shouldn't be taken lightly--Ragdoll Mommy is pissed

Do you know what's happening to me out there? I'm getting MY pictures stolen by this bitch and bastard that have tried to tell me: "it helps to increase viewers to your blog". Yeah, right. You know what? My blog will be a year old next month on the 14th, and with 35,840 page reviews, which will likely increase over the month. Do I need help? Is that a real question? That's a flat out no. If I ever do need help with blogging in the future, then I know where to get it and it sure as hell wouldn't be from them. The picture below is the one they have stolen.
This is one of my favorites of Star and they've stolen it, and now they're telling me its ugly and I'm "vulgar". How can you call me vulgar, but still think I'm talented? I'm just Ragdoll Mommy, am just a regular girl--why all the fuss about me? Nobody gave a fuck before, all they did was doubt me. But not now. I'm not vulgar, I'm not mean nor cruel, they've started it and I'm the one to end it. I've tried being the better person and apologizing for calling them a prick (that's why I was called vulgar), how am I vulgar? What would you rather me call you a bitch, bastad, an asshole? I can keep going... So you think Star is ugly, I'm vulgar, and I'm snotty, yet talented??? Who the fuck do you think you are?! Seriously, I have said I'm sorry, and told them it was no big deal (though really it was), and all they have done was backlash at me. Internet people are horrible.  They didn't even credit me or my blog. Her and I are on a riot. Don't worry though, after all revenge is best served cold. I have a wonderful plan....**rubs hands together**.
That's my kind of card.

Am I evil?

Did You Miss The Ragdoll Mommy?

Hello everybody!

Sorry I'm late, we've been super busy and with no time and internet for me to blog! :-( But that's okay, because I'm here now, right? I've got a big post to write to make up for the 3 days I haven't blogged. First, remember the 4 homeless kitten that belonged to Leo? Well, sadly Leo went missing and never returned:-( and 3 of the poor kittens died or something:-(, but there's good news too, the healthiest long-haired tabby girl found a forever home in Tallahasse with a little girl and her mom! :-) I'm so happy for them! She was such a sweet kitten. I'm so happy I could cry! I had first thought that no one would want them. Yay! And second, sadly like Leo and 3 of the kittens, Lady had also went missing and never came home, the worst thing was was the fact that Lady had been declawed (also most of you know by now, I am against declawing, but I support other people's opinions about it, so I hadn't declawed her.) We had put Lady outside for a reason; she had fought with Nico who is also declawed and Nico&Anya were way more money than Lady was (Lady was for free), and we thought no one would want a 7-8 year old declawed cat that bites and has no tail, so we didn't try to find her a home or take her to the shelter to be euthanized. That's too cruel, and we're not that kind of people. Rude comments about how we put Lady outside will be deleted. No exceptions. She was a lot happier outside than being an inside cat with 2 other cats. Third, yesterday I had my blog for 11 months, yay! I'm so proud of myself! :-) And fourth, I'm greatly disappointed that I had also missed my PhotoHunt yesterday, by the way it was "dusk" so today I'll blog about that as well.
Saturday's PhotoHunt was "dusk", I love the dusk sky of the country.
