Nico Monday: I Didn't Ask for This....

Nico sleeping with me on July 13th Sunday, 1 day before he was euthanized. Note: his purple-ish pink paw pads and nose, and enlarged face, all point to signs of HCM and heart failure. Heartbreaking. I never thought it would end like this. 

After all this was only 1 month ago. :-(

You CAN Heal Your Life: Getting Renato After Nico Died

Hello,

Its Sunday! And time to tell you guys more about my new Ragdoll kitten - Renato. Renato is coming from a cattery in North Carolina, as most of you know by now, I am from Florida, but we're going to Maine for a visit this Wednesday! Yay! And we're picking him up on the way home from Maine, as that is right around the time we will be coming home and he will be ready to leave for his forever home.

Renato. Renato is a Sealpoint Mitted Ragdoll kitten. He has some minor "mismarks" on his back legs, a mismark is a marking that is incorrect or in the wrong place. See those light brown markings on his back paws? Those are mismarks, but that truly doesn't interfere with Renato or my love for him. To me he is handsome, and perfect is overrated. Never judge a book by it's cover! I am unsure if those mismarks will fade as he gets older or not. His breeder says he is not the youngest, but the smallest by a little compared to his litter mates, but he doesn't know that. ;-)

This is Renato's father. His name is Sonny, and he is a Sealpoint Bicolor  Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll cat. He comes from Nico and Anya's breeder in Georgia. Wow!

This is Renato's mother. Her name is Jewel and she is a Sealpoint Mitted Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll cat. She comes from a breeder in Virginia.

This is Renato's brother. He (like his father, Sonny) is also a Sealpoint Bicolor Mink (non-traditional). Born 6/1/2014.

This is Renato's sister. Like her brother and father, she too is a Sealpoint Bicolor Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll. Born 6/1/2014.

Despite his parents, and more than half of his siblings being non-traditional, Renato is traditional! Wow.

This is Renato's grandmother (on his father's side). Her name is Olivia. She like her son (Renato's father) also comes (and is still a breeder) at Nico and Anya's breeder's cattery. She is a Sealpoint Mitted Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll cat with an Hourglass blaze on her face; my favorite type of blaze.

This is Renato's aunt (on his father's side). She is a Sealpoint Colorpoint Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll cat. She too comes from Nico and Anya's breeder. Her name is Mercedes.

This is Renato's uncle, (on his father's side). His name is Buzz, and he is a Sealpoint Mitted Sepia (non-traditional) Ragdoll cat. He has a Hourglass blaze on his face. He comes from Nico and Anya's breeder too.

Finally some traditional in Renato's bloodlines! Lol. This is Renato's uncle (on his father's side). His name is Max and he is a Bluepoint Colorpoint traditional Ragdoll cat; he is pictured here as a kitten though. He also comes from Nico and Anya's breeder. The yellow-ish stain around his mouth is from nursing and quickly fades away. He is also from Nico and Anya's breeder.

Renato's half brother (same father, different mother). He is a Sealpoint Lynx Mitted Ragdoll kitten, traditional. He looks a lot younger than Renato, because 1: he is, and 2: Renato was born 6/1/2014 and he was born 7/12/2014.

Renato's half sister, (same father, different  mother). She is a Sealpoint Lynx Mitted traditional Ragdoll kitten. Born 7/12/2014.

Renato's half brother, (same father, different mother). He is a Sealpoint Lynx Mitted Mink (non-traditional) Ragdoll kitten. Born 7/12/2014.

Renato's aunt, (on his father's side). Her name is Lily, and she is a Sealpoint Mitted Sepia (non-traditional). Ragdoll cat (pictured as a kitten though). She is also from Nico and Anya's breeder.

Lit'l baby Renato at 5 weeks. Born 6/1/2014.

Renato and Sugar, Sugar is a Bluepoint Mitted with a Diamond blaze. Sugar and Renato are not related.

An End Has a Start....

Meet Renato, Renato is my handsome and future Sealpoint Mitted Ragdoll kitten. Renato means reborn in Latin and Italian, and in Spanish it means to rise again. 

Renato is NOT a "replacement" for Nico. Comments saying that or are rude i.e Nico 2, etc. Will be deleted. I have not forgotten Nice, nor I ever will, he holds a special place inside my heart, no one can ever fill. Some people were commenting asking when I will get a "replacement" for Nico, first fuck you for saying that, and second, no cat will ever replace my Nico. And I proved that, by staying by his side as his eyes half close in defeat from the heartbreaking HCM, I stood by his dying side, and the last words he ever heard were: "l love you."
