Saphira loves going shopping with me to get cat supplies or just to watch the fish and animals. I hate this store though -- they kept me in line for 25+ minutes, I was their only costumer in the check out! I had two things. Crazy! I really liked the pet shoppe in Maine; Loyal Biscuit, Saphira was their first cat customer!

Review Day: Mauri Canned All Natural Cat Food

When Mauri Pet Foods contacted me about a review offer for their all natural, by-product free cat food, I could't resist! Mauri makes all natural, by-product\corn\soy\grain free foods for cats and dogs. They come in a handful of flavors (more flavors for dogs than cats, but the cat food also has a couple of different flavors), the ingredients are imported from New Zealand, some of the flavors include kangaroo, brush tail (you gotta look these things up, they're freaky!), hoki, venison, grass fed lamb, grass fed goat, turkey, and salmon.




Dog Food Flavors:

• Grass Fed Lamb Entree with Fresh Apples
• New Zealand Venison Entree with Fresh Kiwi
• Grass Fed Goat Entree with Fresh Pumpkin
• New Zealand Turkey Entree with Fresh Pumpkin
• King Salmon Entree with Fresh Pumpkin
• Wild Kangaroo Entree with Fresh Blueberries

Cat Food Flavors:

• New Zealand Venison Entree 
• New Zealand Hoki Entree 
• Wild Brushtail Entree (what I am reviewing)
• Wild Kangaroo (what I am also reviewing)

Wild Kangaroo Entree 6 oz can (pictured left) and Wild Brushtail Entree 3 oz can (pictured right). 

The brushtail (on the right) was a 3 oz can, the wild kangaroo (on the left) was a 6 oz can. All three cats shared sense there was only two cans, Saphira preferred the brushtail, Star the braushtail, and Anya the kangaroo. The company does not "sell" online, they only sell in stores, and by that I mean they sell to independent stores only, not Petco or Petsmart. I personally prefer independent stores and shops, and that is one of the reasons why I so often do reviews for Etsy shops and support independent stores whenever I can.

Ingredients of the Brushtail:

Brushtail, Brushtail Broth, Pumpkin, Ovine Plasma, Calcium Carbonate, Fish Oil, Locust Bean Gum, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum, Vitamins & Minerals: (Choline Chloride, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Folic Acid, Calcium Iodate, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Calcium Pantothenate, Niacin Supplement, Iron Amino Acid Chelate , Zinc Amino Acid Chelate), Cranberries, Taurine, New Zealand Green Mussel.

Ingredients of the Kangaroo:

This was suppose to be side ways.

• Both food for dogs and cats.
• Cats loved it.
• Great ingredients.
• Only wild kangaroo and brushtail.
• Made in New Zealand.
• No internet sales!
• Not sold in Petsmart or Petco.
• True single sourced animal proteins for pets with allergies.
• Fresh pumpkin and New Zealand green lipped muscle in all formulas.
• Additional benefits of cat food: cranberries for urinary track support, and low ash content.
• Little to no smell.
• Healthier than USA food....

Cons:

Nothing here!

Review Day: Nico's Cremation Keepsake Memorial Necklace by Clearlyloved

Hi Everyone,

Do you remember Nico's necklace from a couple of weeks ago? Well, most of you know by now that it unfortunately broke (we actually glued it wrong), but the Etsy shop owners were nice enough and made me an entirely new necklace for my darling, Nico. Some of Nico's cremains have been permanently sealed in my necklace, it is a urn necklace. It is made by Clearlyloved in Ocala, Florida. Clearlyloved makes beautiful cremation keepsake necklaces for your deceased loved ones cremains, they are permanently sealed in a glass orb and then you glue the bottom (and I recommend gluing the top too for good measure), as I said - the orb is glass and the ashes (cremains) are inside the orb, I recommend only filling the orb to only half way, so the cremains can "shift" through the orb, much like that of an hourglass. It is really stunning. The chain of the necklace is stainless steel. It should not be worn in water and you must keep it away from cosmetics and harsh chemicals such as: alcohol, ammonia, bleach, chlorine, acetone, hair spray, perfume, etc. I have never exposed it to water or cosmetics or any chemicals, the contents are extremely important to me, and needless to say I do take extreme care of it.

My necklace also came with a smaller chain; you can hang it from a nail in the wall, your car rear view mirror, etc.

I have another review for you guys from Chewy.Com for February, this time I am reviewing their Instinct RawBoost Minis Cat Treats, they come in 3 flavors, and they are chicken, duck (which is what I am reviewing), and rabbit. These are a freeze-dried treat, and are all natural, healthy cat treats, these are the perfect size treat for kittens or older cats who have trouble chewing due to age. These are extremely easy to break into smaller pieces or in half, they also make an awesome food topping, especially because they have very limited ingredients. The ingredients are listed below:

Ingredients:

Duck (Including Ground Duck Bone), Turkey, Turkey Liver, Turkey Heart, Pumpkinseeds, Apples, Carrots, Butternut Squash, Ground Flaxseed, Montmorillonite Clay, Broccoli, Lettuce, Spinach, Dried Kelp, Apple Cider Vinegar, Parsley, Honey, Salmon Oil, Mixed Tocopherols, Olive Oil, Rosemary Extract, Blueberries, Alfalfa Sprouts, Persimmons, Inulin, Rosemary, Sage, Clove

For being freeze-dried treats these do not smell bad, the smell is minimal and they do not smell bad, it is actually quite pleasant if you ask the kitties. ;-)
