If you've been following me for a while now, then you'll know that I am highly addicted to Coke. But guess what? As of 12-31-2014, I haven't even had one sip! It kinda went along with no added sugar to our foods, yup, we've mostly stopped eating foods with added sugars. I feel
so much better now! The headaches, the upset stomach, the anger issues, everything, is
gone. Food tastes amazing now, real, filling, and it makes me want to eat. I eat less, as I feel more full, I use to eat 1-8 meals a day, now it is 1-4. I've lost 6lbs, and no, I am not overweight. I have developed a taste for a few types of tea, I drink Earl Gray at least once everyday or every two days. And, man am I much more happier, I've had some
very unfortunate events happen in my life, and I've been sad and possible a tad depressed for 5+ years, but who knew that your food and drinks play a massive role in your happiness? Instead of focusing on everything I can't fix, I am focusing on things that I
can fix, and so far, it is working and I'm glad.
Tea is also making me calmer, nicer, and an all around better person. Instead of feeling like I want to stab someone when I am angry, I am able to handle the situation a lot better. So what an improvement LOL. Also, my hair is so much softer, cleaner and more glossy, I might even give up conditioner now. On an unrelated note, the cats are also making an environment pledge, like using all natural pine litter, which I hope to use with them for the rest of their lives, they love it, I love it, it is cheap ($8 for a 20lb bag), no dust, and great for the earth. It is a win-win! Right? Also no Coke for me until 2016. ;-)
This whole no Coke, no added sugar challenge isn't about losing weight, but rather about eating healthier, and improving our health. What kind of improvements are you working on in your world?
